Eddie Kingston and Chris Jericho face-off on AEW Dynamite
Eddie Kingston was as short-tempered as usual, not a fan of the security in the ring. Chris Jericho replied that he wanted to talk like men and not like a common street thug like Kingston.
Eddie Kingston replied that he was not a sports entertainer and wanted to fight. He said he didn't want to be in this segment and would rather see some wrestling.
Charlotte Flair to return and wrestle a CURRENT CHAMPION?
Jericho said that when he heard everyone in the back excited that Kingston was coming to AEW, he had never heard of him and mistook him for Eddie Edwards. Chris Jericho added that Eddie Kingston looked like a jobber.
He said he was impressed by Kingston's match and promo with Cody Rhodes. Chris Jericho then took a shot at Eddie Kingston, saying he'd signed with AEW and had finally made it at 38.
He then accused Kingston of being jealous of him because he had made it at the age of 22 and had already main evented pay-per-views by 38. Kingston replied that he was always going to be himself and that had held him down during his career. He had said no to promoters.
Eddie Kingston said that unlike some others, he wanted to do things on his own. He then challenged Chris Jericho to a match at AEW Revolution.
Jericho then took shots at Kingston's family, saying that both his uncle and father were failures. He said that Kingston's problem was that he couldn't win the big one.
Eddie Kingston told Chris Jericho to bring the best version of himself to their match, the one Triple H hated, one who won was the first AEW World Champion.
