On AEW Dynamite last week, Brian Cage ended Adam Page's incredible winning streak thanks to a pre-match beatdown and the help of Team Taz.
Hangman Page was okay with that, as everyone has to lose sometimes. Still, he knew that Cage had dedicated his entire life to pro wrestling, and knew that The Machine wasn't truly happy with that win, so why not do it again...at Double or Nothing?

The Pinnacle, led by a crown-wearing MJF, bragged about their victory in the AEW Blood and Guts match. The Pinnacle is now the rating gods, as they were the No.1 ranked cable show last week.
The Inner Circle were down two men. Santana wasn't here because he was arrested after stabbing MJF with a fork. Chris Jericho wasn't here because...well...he took a fall. As far as the rematch that The Inner Circle proposed? No.
Tully Blanchard congratulated The Pinnacle for their success last week and had some very expensive watches for each and every man that was in that match. FTR, MJF, Wardlow, and Shawn Spears were nearly brought to tears by Tully's speech and gifts before they were interrupted by some random honking.
It was Ortiz, Sammy Guevara, and Jake Hager who drove up with an Inner Circle branded bubbly truck. MJF claimed that The Inner Circle was dead, as was Jericho. The inaugural AEW World Champion appeared from the truck, asking once again for a rematch.
They sprayed The Pinnacle with a champaign cannon, leaving the group soaking wet and embarrassed. MJF was furious and agreed to a rematch at Double or Nothing. It would be the return of the Stadium Stampede Match.
MJF added a stipulation on AEW Dynamite, though, claiming that if The Inner Circle lost, they'd have to break up once and for all.
