At AEW Double or Nothing, Hikaru Shida will defend the AEW Women's Championship against Dr. Brit Baker, D.M.D. Baker was put on the shelf last year thanks to a shot from Shida that broke her nose.
Baker stated that Shida was a fantastic champion in a very tough year for the company, let alone the division. Still, Britt Baker was the true face of the division, and at Double or Nothing, she would walk out the new AEW Women's Champion.

Thunder Rosa vs Jazmin Allure on AEW Dynamite
Thunder Rosa battered Jazmin Allure with chops and shoulder thrusts. A shotgun dropkick sent her into the turnbuckle and set her up for a big slam. A running senton crushed Allure for a two-count. After that, Rosa hit a shoulder breaker and Fire Thunder Driver for the win.
Results: Thunder Rosa defeated Jazmin Allure via pinfall on AEW Dynamite.

Thunder Rosa has been a major part of the AEW women's division for quite a while now, and though she's still got her sights on the NWA Women's Worlds Title, Rosa would soon go after the AEW Women's Title as well.
