Malakai Black vs Cody Rhodes on AEW Dynamite

Both men traded takedowns as the AEW Dynamite match started and there was a splattering of "Cody sucks" chants from the fans in attendance. Malakai Black locked in a kneebar early but Cody broke out of it and booted Black across the face. Black took Cody down with a shoulder tackle before Cody hit back with a powerslam.

Malakai Black slipped out of the ring and grabbed a steel chair which he tossed into the ring as Lee Johnson and Brock Anderson came down to the ring. Brock Anderson grabbed the chair from Cody Rhodes who locked in a Figure Four Leglock.

Black broke out of the hold and booted Cody across the face, following it up with a PK for a nearfall. Malakai headed out to ringside again and set up a table but this time it backfired. As he got back on the apron, Cody hit him with a Cross Rhodes through the table. Black was busted open from the move but he sent Cody headfirst into the ringpost.

Andrade came out from the back at this point as his assistant Jose went for Arn Anderson, who hit a spinebuster. Meanwhile, Black spat the mist into Arn Anderson's eyes as PAC attacked Andrade on the entrance ramp.

Meanwhile, Cody hit the Cross Rhodes in the middle of the ring but Black kicked out at the last second. Black headed to the top rope and hit a vicious double stomp, followed by a German Suplex for a nearfall.

Cody Rhodes hit back with a Cody Cutter followed by the Cross Rhodes and then a Tiger Driver to finally pin Malakai Black.
