Chris Jericho vs Nick Gage at AEW Fight for the Fallen

MJF joined the AEW commentary team as we kicked off this No Rules Match. Nick Gage already had a pizza cutter in his hand and sliced the upper bicep of former AEW World Champion Chris Jericho.

They ran into one another, trading blows only for Gage to plant Jericho with a spinebuster. A running boot in the corner rocked the Painmaker. Jericho tried to climb to the top but was cut off by MJF's hired gun. A superplex planted Jericho, and Gage held on for a falcon arrow. Jericho kicked out at two.

Jericho avoided another boot in the corner and went for the Walls of Jericho. Gage pulled on the rope, bringing himself out of harm's way and to the floor. Jericho was driven face first into the steel post. Gage pulled out several light tubes while Jericho grabbed his bat.

Gage didn't notice Jericho's weapon, though, and ate a series of strikes with the bat. However, he ducked a home-run swing for a uranage backbreaker. He pulled out the pizza cutter again, looking to carve up AEW's favorite Canadian. He did just that, and Jericho was a bloody mess as MJF laughed on from the commentary desk.

During the break, Gage brought in several chairs and a pane of glass. He set the glass up between two chairs, looking to hit a moonsault through it. Jericho made it to the turnbuckle to stop him, going for a super hurricanrana. It worked, and the glass shattered all over Gage's back.

Somehow Gage kicked out. The AEW crowd was fired up, though, and fully behind Le Champion at this point. Gage countered a Codebreaker, slamming Jericho onto the glass. A light tube was broken over Jericho's spine. Then another. After that, the piledriver spiked Jericho for a near fall.

Gage pulled out a shank, stabbing it into the forehead of Jericho before going for a broken light tube. He dug out more of Jericho's skin and blood. Jericho, though, had one final trick up his sleeve. Some black mist blinded Gage, and the Judas Effect laid him out for the win.

Results: Chris Jericho defeated Nick Gage via pinfall at AEW Fight for the Fallen.

Grade: A-

MJF grabbed a microphone to announce the next Labor of Jericho.

Labor #3?

Jericho had to hit a maneuver off the top rope in his next match in order to win. His opponent? Juventud Guerrera!

And with that, AEW rounded up an interesting episode. Next week, it will be a special Homecoming edition for Dynamite.
