#1 Eddie Kingston comes up short but proves that he is a top star at AEW Full Gear 2020

Heading into AEW Full Gear 2020, Eddie Kingston and Jon Moxley did a magnificent job of building up the AEW World Championship Match for this card. The personal feud of friends turned foes engaged every fan of AEW and had a lot hoping Kingston would pull out the biggest win of his career. The closing match to this pay-per-view delivered a truly memorable spectacle with the I Quit stipulation.

This unbelievable level of violence put both men through an enormous amount of pain. Fans were treated with a match akin to the CZW hardcore wars that these two competitors put themselves through to make their way to the huge stage here at Full Gear. The intense finish with Moxley using barbwire wire around his arm to choke out Kingston brought more sympathy to his opponent.

Kingston's promo and in-ring work in this main event program proved to the world that he will be a top star in AEW. The story of a man who is just trying to make his mother happy is something any fan would root for. Full Gear 2020 was Kingston's biggest stage yet, but it will not be his last.
