#5 Hikaru Shida vs. Nyla Rose for the AEW Women's World Championship (AEW Full Gear 2020)

Another title match on the Full Gear card will see Hikaru Shida defending the AEW Women's World Championship against Nyla Rose.

This is a rematch from Double Or Nothing 2020, where Shida defeated Nyla in a remarkable No Disqualification and No Countout Match. Although Shida has been one of the more consistent performers on the AEW roster, she has lacked meaningful storytelling during her reign.

Nyla Rose partnered up with Vickie Guerrero in her corner during the summer. Vickie proclaimed that Nyla would not compete until she received a title opportunity, which led to months of her being kept off TV prior to this rematch at Full Gear. Shida has put on quality title defenses, but she has not received the attention she deserves from a booking standpoint.

This should be another entertaining AEW Women's World Championship contest. Rose should get the victory here to freshen up the division and allow her the reign that she was denied when Nyla won the gold prior to the global pandemic.
