In a battle of two of the biggest heels in AEW, Chris Jericho will meet MJF at Full Gear 2020. The intriguing stipulation is that if MJF wins, he will join Jericho's Inner Circle stable. This contest was set up after weeks of interaction and teases to MJF being interested in joining a stable.

Following his loss to Jon Moxley for the AEW World Championship, the self-proclaimed Face of AEW made it clear that he felt like he needed to join a faction to get ahead in the company.

After showing interest in joining the Inner Circle, Jericho and Friedman shared Le Dinner Debonair in one of the most talked about segments of the year in wrestling.

Coming off a town hall meeting, Jericho made the challenge that if MJF could defeat him at Full Gear, he could join his stable of hooligans. MJF made it known that he was willing to do anything to get this victory.

After Jericho questioned Maxwell's killer instinct and called him soft, MJF speared him on commentary to prove just how crazy he truly was.

This has made for the most unique and divisive buildups of any match on the AEW Full Gear 2020 card. The story needs to progress coming out of this pay-per-view, so a victory for MJF and him joining the group seems like the best possible outcome. It should make for a dynamic encounter between these two rule-breakers regardless.
