Heartbreaking for me, but a special night for @DarbyAllin - the rookies aren’t rookies anymore. They are stars. You can be a loner, but now you’re a leader.Thank you @AEW and the fans here tonight and watching on PPV. It was an honor to be your champion. pic.twitter.com/AEhAEEzW2n
It was a special night for Cody Rhodes, a man who did not have access to his own name and legacy until recently, as he wrestled with the last name for the first time in quite some time, but it was an even more special night for Darby Allin, the promising young man that Cody Rhodes put over at AEW Full Gear in what turned out to be a spectacular contest.

Didn’t this blond heel say the other day he wasn’t going to use “Rhodes" in the ring? Soooo much for that. #AEW#AEWFullGear
John Cena's last PPV's name revealed by Kurt Angle? More details HERE
And the fact that Cody Rhodes got down on one knee and offered the TNT Championship after their match at AEW Full Gear, a title that he has carried for a very long time around his waist to the next generation, was a sign of what a class act and a gentleman he is.
Darby Allin is going to mix it up with Team Taz going forward, and Cody Rhodes does not need a Championship around his waist to tell stories in the ring, because he's a made man. Everybody wins, even though Cody Rhodes technically lost the match.
