One of the biggest issues with the Women's Championship match between Hikaru Shida and Nyla Rose at AEW Full Gear was the lack of storyline attached to it because the contest almost seemed like an afterthought, designed to get the two women on the card and little more.

The contest in itself wasn't the best match that Hikaru Shida has had by a long shot and while it was an okay contest overall, compared to the rest of the AEW Full Gear card, the match was somehow lacking.
Also one really has to wonder who is next in line for Hikaru Shida following AEW Full Gear since she has pretty much run through the entire card at this point. Nobody else has been presented as being at the same level as Hikaru Shida (for good reason) until now, so wouldn't it have made more sense to have her drop the title to Nyla Rose at AEW Full Gear, maybe?
