After Miro put Trent on the shelf, Chuck Taylor looked for revenge as he faced Miro in singles action on the second night of AEW New Year's Smash. Chuckie T made a strong start to the match and was all over the former WWE Superstar. He hit Miro with a dive over the top ropes before following it up with a double stomp from the apron.

Miro hit back with a monstrous Samoan Drop, planting Chuckie T in the middle of the ring. The Best Man followed it up with a series of right hands and then a massive spinning leg lariat. Miro followed it up with his patented thrust kick to the jaw, dropping Chuckie T to the mat. Miro then forced Chuck Taylor to tap out in the middle of the ring.
