#4 AEW star Malakai reveals his wife's reaction over his release from WWE

AEW star Malakai Black recently revealed that her wife Zelina Vega broke into tears when she learned about his release from WWE.

Tommy End, formerly known as Aleister Black, was one of many big names that WWE released as part of their budget cuts last month. However, due to the company's blunder in his 90-day non-compete clause, Tommy End quickly signed with Tony Khan's promotion just a month after his release.

He stunningly made his debut in his sadistic persona and assaulted Cody Rhodes and Arn Anderson.

In an interview with Metal Injection, AEW star Malakai Black discussed numerous topics, most notably the reactions of his wife after she learned about his release. The former WWE superstar stated that his wife started crying, but on the contrary, he laughed at his release because the company messed up with his character on Television:

“It’s funny, but as soon as I got released, my wife started crying,” Black recalled. “And I actually started laughing because they built me up for 5-6 weeks, they made me come back [to SmackDown], and now they’re pulling me off TV again? I just couldn’t take the whole situation seriously anymore. I realized that this was not worth it anymore. I felt huge relief and just started laughing, and I immediately knew that was the feeling of freedom, and not having to deal with it anymore.” (H/T - WrestlingInc)

Malakai Black seems to be laser-focused in AEW, as the company put him in a feud with their most protected superstar Cody Rhodes. Both men are scheduled to have a match against each other early next month.
