#3. Former AEW World Champion Jon Moxley on WWE possibly creating the next Shield

AEW's Jon Moxley recently sat down for an interview with Metro, and the former AEW world champion shared his thoughts on whether WWE can create another Shield.

The alliance of Roman Reigns, Dean Ambrose, and Seth Rollins is widely regarded as one of the greatest factions of the past decade and one of the best of all time.

AEW's Moxley noted that the Shield members were "nobodies" when they were together at Florida Championship Wrestling. The element of mystery helped the trio as they took WWE by storm and quickly got over with the fans.

The AEW star explained that the current crop of NXT talent are already established names, which would make it difficult for WWE to introduce another Shield-like group.

According to Moxley, what made Shield special was that not many knew who they were after their main roster call-up nearly nine years ago.

"Anything could work. I mean, it's different because you're a known commodity on NXT now, whereas when we came in, we were complete nobodies. So, there's a benefit to that. On the one hand, nobody knows who you are, but on the other hand, you have a completely fresh slate; you're a complete mystery. You can come right in and (sic) starting whooping whoever's a** you want!" said Jon Moxley

The former AEW World Champion added that The Shield might very well be the last major act to have come out of the old NXT system. According to Mox, it doesn't matter where a wrestler came from as long as they were over and had the creative backing of the company.

"The Shield might be the last big act that came from that old way of doing things before NXT, really. You can do anything with anybody if you commit to them. The problem is – it doesn't matter if they're on NXT if people know who they are or they don't. If somebody's getting over, you're giving them the opportunity to get over, you've gotta actually follow through on pushing a guy or girl," said Moxley

Do you agree with the AEW wrestler on this one? Can WWE realistically form another Shield in the future? If yes, who do you see as being a part of a similar three-man faction?
