Brazil's Tay Conti is one of the most attractive wrestlers on the AEW women's roster. Multiple wins and impressive performances have pushed her to the top of the card, even challenging ex-AEW women's champion Hikaru Shida in a losing effort.

The former WWE NXT wrestler was signed by WWE in 2016, but was part of the cuts in 2020. She was a highly valued free agent and AEW didn't take long to snap her up as soon as her no-compete clause expired.

Appearing on Renee Paquette's podcast, Oral Sessions, Tay Conti spoke to guest hosts Cassie Lee and Jessica McKay.

The guest hosts were formerly known as The IIconics in WWE. The Brazilian star spoke about her early difficulties during the WWE tryouts. She said she didn't know anything about wrestling and didn't know English so she had to resort to copying what the others were doing. She added that current Smackdown star Bayley was 'constantly screaming' at her in an effort to motivate her.

"I had to watch it first and then try to do it and I’m like ‘oh my god. I have no idea what I’m doing.’ I had to be copying what other people were doing because I had no clue. But that was fun. That was a great opportunity I will never forget. And I remember Bayley like, every time I was doing this, she was like ‘AHHHHH!’ Screaming in my face. She was motivating me. I was like ‘hell yeah. Tay Conti is one of the biggest talents in women's wrestling and has enhanced the AEW women's division since her arrival. It will not be surprising if she tastes some gold in the coming months.
