Welcome to another edition of Sportskeeda Wrestling's AEW News Roundup. Today we'll look at some stories involving Mercedes Mone, Penta El Zero Miedo, Kenny Omega, etc.

Meanwhile, legendary wrestler Jeff Jarrett recently gave his thoughts on the upcoming AEW World Championship match at Worlds End 2024. Additionally, new matches for the Continental Classic have been announced. So, without wasting any time, let's dive into these stories:

#5. Former AEW star seemingly validates Penta El Zero Miedo's alleged WWE debut teaser

A former AEW name has reacted to a vignette that aired on this week's Monday Night RAW that hinted at Penta El Zero Miedo's arrival into the company.

Former WWE writer buries Judgment Day HERE

The vignette flashed the "zero fear" logo synonymous with Pentagon Jr. Later, Jose The Assistant took to his X account and posted the same logo, seemingly confirming that Penta was WWE-bound.

#4. Kenny Omega is set to return to in-ring action after nearly 400 days

Kenny Omega is finally set to return to the squared circle. The former AEW World Champion has been absent from in-ring action ever since he was diagnosed with diverticulitis back in December 2023. His last match took place on the December 5, 2023, edition of Collision.

During this week's edition of Dynamite, a teaser video was aired that hyped up The Cleaner's return to the ring after nearly 400 days. The Best Bout Machine will make his much-anticipated return to the ring at the Wrestle Dynasty PPV on January 5. He will lock horns with Gabe Kidd in a singles match.

#3. Mercedes Mone goes on an explicit rant against a fan after he took a dig at her AEW run

For the past few months, many fans have criticized Mercedes Mone's work in All Elite Wrestling. Recently, a fan publicly taunted The CEO, leading to the reigning AEW TBS Champion going on an explicit rant.

Even though Mercedes has been booked strongly since she arrived in the Tony Khan-led company, not many have liked her character. Recently, a fan on her Instagram Live commented that her move from WWE to All Elite Wrestling has been a downgrade. However, The CEO hit back at her critic with disdain.

“I just saw someone say, ‘Downgrade has to be studied,’” Mone said during the live session. “B****, I’m richer than I’ve ever f***** been. Putting on the greatest matches that I’ve ever had! So shut the f*** up. I hate stupid people. I’m living my best life; the greatest life ever! It’s an upgrade, baby. I went forward; I didn’t go back. It’s the best feeling ever to be rich in spirit; rich in your bank account, and rich in life. It’s the best!” she said. [H/T: Ringside News]

#2. Jeff Jarrett believes Hangman Page will be the next AEW World Champion

Jon Moxley is set to put his AEW World Title on the line against Orange Cassidy, Hangman Page, and Jay White in a Four-Way Match at Worlds End 2024.

Many have pointed at Page as being the future main event star of All Elite Wrestling, with a lot of fans being convinced after his standout feud with Swerve Strickland this year. On a recent edition of the My World podcast, Jeff Jarrett predicted that Page would be crowned the new world champion at Worlds End 2024.

"In that main event, [I] wouldn't be surprised if ol' 'Hangman' figured a way out. When you look at all four of them, you don't really say, 'Okay, they're similar.' They all really do have a different style. I've got my eye on that. And maybe in a unique kind of way, I'm pulling for 'Hangman.' He's aggressive. He brings it!" he said. [H/T: WrestlingInc.]
