WWE Hall of Famer Bully Ray recently expressed his desire to see AEW star Powerhouse Hobbs manhandle CM Punk.

Speaking on a recent episode of Busted Open Radio, Bully Ray discussed CM Punk's new feud with Team Taz. The ECW legend stated that all members of Team Taz would get the rub from being in the ring with The Straight Edge Superstar.

Bully Ray then stated that only AEW's Ricky Starks stands toe-to-toe with CM Punk on the mic, so the other members will need Taz's help.

"They're all gonna get the rub from being in the ring with Punk, since none of them can hang on the microphone," said Bully Ray. "Starks might do a decent job. I'm willing to sit back and give Starks that chance because I think Starks is witty on the mic. But for any of them that can hang, that's why Taz is there. We all know that Taz is amazing on the microphone. He's a great announcer, called Wrestlemanias for a reason. He's an awesome promo guy."

Bully Ray further compared Taz's managerial skills to Bobby Heenan, as he also explained that Taz could be the guy to match AEW's CM Punk on the mic:

"Taz [could be] doing all the talking like a Bobby Heenan or any of the great managers who did the talking and stood behind the talent, and Taz can go head-to-head with Punk," Bully Ray added. "Then we get the Starks or Hobbs in the ring with Punk. I want to see Hobbs beat the sh*t out of Punk. You see the beauty of Punk is, and when the time is right, somebody needs to hand Punk his f**king a**."

AEW star CM Punk engaged in a heated confrontation with Taz on AEW Dynamite this Wednesday. The segment ended with The Second City Saint issuing a challenge to any member of Team Taz. Fans will have to wait and see how the group responds.
