AEW President Tony Khan is the genius behind pulling off such a successful Double or Nothing event this year.

In an interview with Variety, Khan discussed numerous topics, most notably what brings viewership to sports leagues and wrestling as well. The AEW president revealed 'unpredictability' as one of the key factors in gaining more eyeballs.

“Unpredictable matches help viewership. You definitely want unpredictability in whatever you're offering, and that’s one of the key strengths of the NFL. Tournaments like the NCAA March Madness offer the premise of unpredictability and see stronger viewership as a result. A lot of AEW wrestlers hold belts in other companies. It’s great for us, it expands our reach, and it shows what great wrestlers we have,” said Tony Khan. (H/T- Fightful).

The unpredictability factor proved to be a great success for AEW. Guys like Omega and Moxey are holding championships of other promotions. It eventually turned out to be a win-win situation for both parties, by engaging more wrestling fans into their product.
