Nick Aldis recently appeared on Our House Podcast, where he spoke about his match against Rhodes back in the day. The NWA world champion revealed that both Cody and him never discussed the finish of the match, but instead went into the match with the idea of making money.
"I don't think we ever had a discussion about the about the overall finish. Like no, it was never this thing where we sat down like 'okay this is like...' it was just we all knew 'that's the one, let's go, let's make some money'," said Aldis.
Nick Aldis is still a part of the NWA promotion, where he is in his second reign as the World Heavyweight Champion. Cody Rhodes has had a great run in AEW and went on to become the inaugural TNT champion.
