#4 Jim Cornette says Hangman Page's time in AEW has come and gone
Jim Cornette believes Hangman Page's time to shine as AEW's top guy is gone, especially after the arrival of Bryan Danielson.
While speaking on his podcast Jim Cornette Experience, the iconic wrestling manager explained that the company may have put the world title around the waist of The Anxious Millennial Cowboy, had he stuck around on AEW programming recently. However, Cornette stated that Bryan Danielson should become the next champion.

Cornette also added that even if Hangman Page dethrones Kenny Omega, only hardcore AEW fans will buy him as their champion, not everybody:
"If he had stuck around, they may have put the belt around him. In hindsight, that would have been a drastic error because they have just brought Bryan Danielson... Page's time has come and gone. And actually, it was gone, to anybody with a lick of sense, months ago, when he booked to ride job guys and kids in masks around. That doomed him there, his presentation throughout this whole thing. The only people that would buy into him as a World Champion are those who buy everything they (AEW) do," said Jim Cornette.
Hangman Page recently returned as the Joker in the Casino ladder match that featured Jon Moxley, Andrade, PAC, Lance Archer, Matt Hardy, and Orange Cassidy.
The Cowboy put on a tremendous performance, outsmarting everyone to earn his opportunity at Kenny Omega's AEW World Championship. With Full Gear fast approaching, the company may likely book this high-profile bout for their next pay-per-view event next month.
