Welcome to another edition of Sportskeeda Wrestling's AEW News and Rumor roundup. Today we're going to be taking a look at stories involving stars such as Jon Moxley, Baron Corbin, and more.

A House of Black faction member has also provided an update on her AEW future heading into 2025. Matt Jackson of the Young Bucks has also signaled the duo's retirement plans for their signature move. So without any further ado, let's dive into all of these stories.

#5) Disappointing update on Baron Corbin's future following a backstage appearance at AEW Worlds End 2024

Baron Corbin was released from his WWE contract a few months ago after a last-gasp second run in NXT. The former WWE United States Champion reportedly visited backstage at AEW Worlds End 2024 along with former WWE stars such as AJ Francis and Tyler Breeze.

A top AEW star just called one of his colleagues 'spoiled' and 'narcissistic' HERE.

This backstage appearance had fueled speculation amongst fans regarding these three former stars joining the Jacksonville-based promotion. However, Sean Ross Sapp has reported on his Q&A session that he hasn't heard any indication about All Elite Wrestling being interested in them. He went on to further add that TNA has been impressed by Francis' performances in the past year.

#4) The Young Bucks revealed major retirement plans amid AEW absence

The Young Bucks have been on a hiatus from AEW ever since losing the World Tag Team titles to Private Party. The popular duo went away quickly following the loss stating they would now be working from home.

Matt Jackson of The Young Bucks recently revealed a major retirement plan in an interview with Social Suplex Network's Tunnel Talk. The former World Tag Team Champion spoke about potential plans of retiring the duo's signature Superkick move from their arsenal. However, his brother Nick Jackson would question him as to why he wanted to retire the team's popular move.

“I even wanted to lean more into the EVP stuff. Like, I told Nick, ‘I don’t want to do a Superkick ever again,’ and he fought me on that—and he won the fight. I was like, ‘When we come back, I never want to do one ever again,’ and he’s just like, ‘That’s our thing. Why would we stop doing it,'” Matt Jackson said. [H/T: Ringsidenews]

#3) WWE Legend claims Jon Moxley has a big issue in AEW

Jon Moxley has been wreaking havoc in All Elite Wrestling with his faction The Death Riders for a few months now. He recently successfully defended his World title in a fatal-four-way match against Jay White, Orange Cassidy, and Hangman Page at Worlds End 2024.

Moxley is now looking to have more fun creating chaos as he heads into 2025. However, WWE Hall of Famer Bully Ray has taken an issue as to how AEW is booking the Death Riders storyline speaking on Busted Open Radio that the promotion is getting it so wrong it's not funny. He would state that Jon Moxley needs to paint a better picture as to why he is trying to destroy All Elite Wrestling.

"They're getting this so wrong it's not funny, and I don't care if Adam Copeland comes on this show, or Jon Moxley comes on this show to try and tell me I'm wrong because I'm not. If at the end of the day, Moxley wants to destroy AEW because it's turned into something that he doesn't like, he needs to paint a better picture." [H/T - WrestlingInc.]

#2) House of Black member gives an update on future plans in AEW

Julia Hart of the House of Black recently returned to All Elite Wrestling after being out of action due to an injury. The former TBS Champion is now set to make her in-ring return this Wednesday on AEW Dynamite against Jamie Hayter.

Hart recently sat down for an interview with Variety ahead of her in-ring return and spoke about her plans now that she's returned. The Princess of the Black Throne stated that she wants to go after Mercedes Mone stating that she has her Championship. She would also express interest in working with Serena Deeb, Mariah May, and Toni Storm.

“Definitely Mercedes (Moné), she has my title. Probably Willow (Nightingale) too, she took the belt from me. I’ve never worked with Mariah (May), I’ve never worked with Toni (Storm). I would love to work with Serena Deeb, I think she’s someone I could learn a lot from in the ring,” Hart said. [H/T: Variety]

#1) Major update on Jon Moxley's health following AEW World's End 2024

Jon Moxley recently came off a successful title defense against opponents Jay White, Orange Cassidy, and Hangman Page at Worlds End 2024. The thrilling four-way encounter saw a lot of chaos take place with every man taking a lot of punishment.

There was some concern over Moxley's condition after he was seen bleeding from the back of his head following a brutal Shield Triple Powerbomb on the announcers desk. The Wrestling Observer addressed these concerns in a report stating that the current World Champion is seemingly doing okay.

The post-match angle saw Adam Copeland return alongside FTR and go after Moxley and his Death Riders. The Rated-R Superstar would then call out the Purveyor of Violence and his faction members that he and FTR are ready and coming for them.
