#4 AEW star Bryan Danielson recalls his match against Brock Lesnar
AEW's Bryan Danielson recently turned the clock back to discuss his most memorable moments during his WWE run.
While speaking with Casual Conversations, Bryan said that he had fun as a WWE Superstar. The American Dragon recalled his WrestleMania match against Kofi Kingston and noted that the fact his daughter attended the event for the first time made it even more special for him.
"I got to do so much fun, good wrestling," said Danielson. "Some of my favorite moments in my career are there. A match with Kofi Kingston at WrestleMania 35, I always remember that. You know, and my daughter was there, and she came like, that was her first WrestleMania."
AEW's Danielson then recalled getting the opportunity to wrestle Brock Lesnar and having great matches with Randy Orton:
"Getting to wrestle Brock [Lesnar], you know, there were some really cool matches and moments, you know what I mean," Danielson continued. "Some of the live event stuff that I did with Randy Orton is just fantastic. A lot of that stuff were like, man, you know, it was really great wrestling."
Bryan's decade-long stint with Vince McMahon's promotion ended abruptly after he unsuccessfully challenged Roman Reigns to a career vs. title match on SmackDown in April.
Months later, The American Dragon made his stunning AEW debut at All Out pay-per-view in September, thus kickstarting a new chapter in his pro wrestling journey. He has quickly risen up the ranks in Tony Khan's promotion, as Danielson has already earned a shot at the AEW World Championship.
#3 Backstage detail regarding MJF's next wrestling destination after his AEW contract expires
During the Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer noted that he had a conversation with MJF that led him to believe that the young star is unlikely to leave AEW anytime soon.
The wrestling journalist further stated that WWE doesn't usually offer ridiculous deals to any wrestler who, in their opinion, has not become a big commodity in the industry. But he also acknowledged the possibility that WWE could bid on MJF once he's available.
“...I don’t think he is going anywhere," said Meltzer. "I mean, if the deal, the financial deal, was really ridiculous by WWE... they usually don’t give ridiculous deals to someone who has never, in their mind, been a big deal. I could see there being a big bidding war.... All things being equal, he won’t be leaving AEW."
MJF has openly stated that once his contract deal expires, he will consider working for other promotions like WWE if they bid higher for his services. For now, though, he seems set to remain with AEW as one of its "pillars" for the future.
