#5) Drew McIntyre has stated what he honestly thinks about All Elite Wrestling
Drew McIntyre recently took to his social media to share his honest opinion on All Elite Wrestling. A lot of Drew's colleagues currently work in Tony Khan's promotion.
New Champs in WWE! More RIGHT HERE
Speaking on a recent TikTok live, a fan asked about Drew's honest thoughts on the current AEW product. The former WWE Champion shared that the promotion earns a healthy benefit by giving many other people a chance to earn a living for themselves.
"I mean, I'm happy to watch all wrestling, especially when I'm off. I was out that three months when one person f**king called me the entire time I was out. And that's a chance for me to catch up on everything: Impact, AEW, New Japan [Pro-Wrestling], and the independent scene. I'm just happy to see so many people that I’m friends with making a full-time living," he said.
#4) Kenny Omega to possibly return by AEW World's End 2024
Kenny Omega's return to All Elite Wrestling is imminent and his return will greatly relieve Tony Khan's burdens. The Cleaner has been out of action for all of 2024, after being diagnosed with diverticulitis at the end of 2023.
Omega has been rehabbing to heal from his injury this year after undergoing surgery. His return is also being hyped up in the company with The Cleaner officially set to return to the ring against Gabe Kidd on January 5 at Wrestle Dynasty in Japan.
However, according to a report from Fightful Select, Kenny Omega could show up in Tony Khan's company by the Worlds End pay-per-view. However, Tony Khan is unsure as to what capacity they should use him.
#3) Chris Jericho seemingly confirmed that Matt Cardona hasn't officially signed with AEW yet
Chris Jericho has seemingly provided some confirmation on Matt Cardona's contract situation with Tony Khan's promotion.
Matt Cardona has been doing quite well for himself in the indies ever since he left WWE. The self-proclaimed Indy God has been competing in various independent promotions and winning championships everywhere.
Cardona is now set to compete in ROH as well, as he's set to face the current ROH Champion, Chris Jericho at the Final Battle PPV on December 20. Jericho spoke about his upcoming match with Cardona and indicated that the Indy God is yet to officially sign with AEW and become a regular for the promotion.
"Just the fact that we are doing this is special. The fact that it's in Hammerstein, with the vibe that is expected. I don't think anybody expected Matt Cardona to answer this challenge. He's not an AEW regular. We haven't seen him a whole lot," he said. [H/T: Fightful]
#2) Warner Bros Discovery issues statement on AEW's new partnership venture in 2025
AEW signed a new media rights agreement with Warner Bros Discovery regarding the broadcast of content earlier this year. Now, new details have emerged regarding the partnership after a joint press release was released by the two parties.
The deal has been presented to be a game-changer for Tony Khan's promotion, whose shows Dynamite and Collision will continue to air on TBS and TNT, respectively. The shows will then be simulcasted to MAX next year. Now, a new press release has provided much more information regarding the deal.
"All live AEW programming airing on WBD’s networks will also be available to stream on Max and on demand after their live broadcast. Additionally, Dynamite, Collision, Rampage and all [All Elite Wrestling] pay-per-view library content through the end of 2024, representing more than 700 hours of action, will be made available on Max on a rolling basis. At launch, all Dynamite episodes and pay-per-views from the company’s inaugural 2019 year will be available, as well as more than two months of the most recent programming that aired across WBD’s networks (select episodes will be made available shortly after launch)."
#1) Huge update on Adam Copeland's return to AEW
Adam Copeland has been absent from AEW programming for a few months now after coming down with an injury. However, a new report has shed some light on his return.
Copeland fractured his tibia in a brutal Barbed Wire Steel Cage match against Malakai Black at Double or Nothing 2024. He has since been healing from his injury and has been focusing on acting projects outside the company in his absence.
Now, according to a report from Fightful, Adam Copeland's return to the company is set to happen soon. The WWE Hall of Famer has been cleared for action for a few weeks now. However, many people expect him to return finally at Fight for the Fallen 2025 on January 1 at Asheville.
He has been seemingly tipped to be FTR's mystery partner against Jon Moxley and his Death Riders. We'll have to wait till January 1 to see if the Rated-R Superstar will finally appear or not.
