Welcome to the newest edition of Sportskeeda Wrestling's AEW News & Rumor Roundup. Today, we will take a look at a piece of advice given by the legendary Undertaker to an AEW star. We will also learn about an unfortunate update on Keith Lee's return.
Additionally, the article will shed light on the contract status of Jim Ross. So, without further ado, let's begin:
#5. Jim Ross wants AEW CEO Tony Khan to re-sign him after his contract expires
WWE legend Jim Ross has had health issues throughout the year. However, recent reports suggest he has been feeling better lately. On the latest edition of the Grilling JR podcast, the 72-year-old revealed that his current contract with AEW would expire in August 2025.

Interestingly, the legendary commentator is expecting Tony Khan to offer him a new contract. JR said that he simply loves what he does and doesn't intend to retire anytime soon.
"Oh, yeah, I think so. My contract expires in August, but I haven't had any... I don't have any sense or feeling that I'm not going to be kept. Because of the schedule I do, I could maintain that for years to come, and I'm not saying that in a braggadocious fashion," Jim Ross said. [From 1:30:25 to 1:30:57]
#4. Bobby Lashley recalls valuable advice from The Undertaker
AEW star Bobby Lashley shared the locker room with several legends during his time in the Stamford-based promotion. One among them was The Undertaker.
In a recent interaction with Chris Van Vliet on INSIGHT, Lashley recalled how The Phenom once advised him to stand up more in the ring to showcase his gigantic stature. He said:
"And 'Taker was like, 'You keep going down to this wrestling stance'—'cause I kept going into [amateur] wrestling mode." [H/T: WrestlingInc.]
#3. Toni Storm announces that she is All Elite
It looks like Toni Storm has dropped the iconic "Timeless" gimmick and reverted to her former character. On the latest edition of Collision, the former WWE Superstar defeated Shazza McKenzie in a singles match.
After her victory, the Auckland-born star picked up a microphone and announced that she was "officially All Elite!"
"I never thought that I’d get to say this, but Toni Storm is officially All Elite!” she said.
It appears like the former WWE star has lost her memory. Toni seems to have forgotten that she signed with the company back in 2022.
#2. Max Caster wants Ricky Starks to leave AEW
There are speculations that Ricky Starks and Tony Khan do not see eye to eye. The Absolute Star has not appeared on AEW programming since March 2024. It is believed that he will leave the company and join WWE when his contract expires.
Recently, the 34-year-old posted a picture on X. The controversial Max Caster responded to this post, asking the former FTW Champion to leave All Elite Wrestling.
#1. Keith Lee will not compete anytime soon
AEW star Keith Lee has been out of action since December 2023. He reportedly underwent surgery earlier this year and is still recovering.
The 40-year-old is a fan favorite. However, Fightful's Sean Ross Sapp recently provided an unfortunate update on his return status. During a recent Q&A, he revealed that the former WWE star was yet to be cleared to compete inside the squared circle.
