#4 AEW star Sting responds to Rainn Wilson's challenge to a match
AEW star Sting never shies away from a challenge, and he showed the same during a Twitter exchange with Hollywood actor Rainn Wilson.
A few days ago, Wilson, who's best known for his role as Dwight Schrute in an American-based comic-opera 'The Office,' surprisingly laid out a challenge to Sting for an actual wrestling match.
The Hollywood star even made a bold prediction, saying that he would defeat The Icon if or whenever the bout takes place.
In response, Sting posted seemingly accepted Rainn Wilson's challenge by posting an intriguing tweet. The former WCW Champion even teased using his new maneuver, Flying Toe Hold, in a potential bout against Wilson.
"I may have to break out the Flying Toe Hold. You don’t even want to know," Sting responded.
While it is clear that both veterans of their respective professions are teasing their match in an amusing bit, it has generated a lot of buzz in the wrestling world.
#3 Massive update on Kenny Omega's return to AEW programming
Kenny Omega is presently on a sabbatical after losing his AEW World Championship to Hangman Adam Page at Full Gear last month.
If the latest reports from Dave Meltzer are anything to go by, then it is still uncertain when The Best Bout Machine might return to AEW programming. The wrestling journalist recently reported that there's currently 'no timetable' planned for Omega's comeback.
Initial reports suggested that The Cleaner was dealing with multiple health issues, such as vertigo and abdominal hernia. Not only that, but he was also planning to undergo shoulder surgery. Given his long list of injuries, it looks like Kenny Omega could be forced to miss the majority of 2022.
