#5. AEW star MVP speaks on potential fourth The Hurt Syndicate member
The Hurt Syndicate currently consists of MVP, Bobby Lashley and Shelton Benjamin. Interestingly, when this faction was signed to the WWE, they had a fourth member, Cedric Alexander. Alexander is still signed to the Stamford-based company and performs in NXT.
The stable recently appeared on AEW Close-Up, where Renee Paquette asked MVP who could be the fourth member of The Hurt Syndicate. Although the 51-year-old didn't reveal any name, he stated the qualities needed for a wrestler to join the group.
"Well number one is coachability. They have to be coachable. Number two, they have to have swag, swagger, a sense of style and fashion because we are hashtag fashionably violent ... you can't have a nice pair of jeans," MVP said. [H/T: Wrestling Inc]
#4. "Speedball" Mike Bailey is on the verge of becoming All Elite
"Speedball" Mike Bailey's contract with TNA recently expired. The 34-year-old is an immensely talented competitor, who not only possesses exceptional in-ring skills but is also quite good on the microphone.
Recent reports suggest that his preferred destination is All Elite Wrestling. Bailey has wrestled in promotions such as Attack! Pro Wrestling, CZW, DDT Pro-Wrestling, and more. Furthermore, he is a three-time TNA X Division Champion.
#3. Cole Karter to return after being sidelined for five months
Earlier this year, AEW star Cole Karter sustained an injury due to which he got sidelined for five months. He had reportedly undergone surgery for a broken arm.
Interestingly, Fightful Select recently reported that his return is imminent. He is “either cleared or very close to it”. Karter predominantly appeared on All Elite Wrestling's sister promotion, ROH. Furthermore, he had a short WWE run, where he wrestled in NXT.
#2. Darby Allin wants to become Bryan Danielson's replacement
At the WrestleDream Pay-Per-View, Bryan Danielson wrestled his last match as a full-time competitor against Jon Moxley. The American Dragon lost this bout and also the AEW World Title. It is going to be interesting to see who will fill the void he has left.
However, The Daredevil, Darby Allin believes that it is his time to become the new face of the company. In a recent interview with JAMZ96.3, the former TNT Champion said the following:
"I firmly believe when you risk your life on a monthly basis, it’s going to make you pretty strong mentally and I feel like I’m ready to be the face of this whole company,” said the 31-year-old. [H/T: Ringside New]
