Welcome to the latest edition of Sportskeeda Wrestling's AEW News and Rumor Roundup. Today, we will look at Eric Bischoff's comments on the Jon Moxley-led Death Riders and who Tony Schiavone wants to see become the next World Tag Team Champions.

Additionally, we will learn about CM Punk's shocking claim about the Jacksonville-based company and an unfortunate update on former TNT Champion Wardlow's potential return. So without ado, let's begin.

#5 Eric Bischoff advised MJF to stay away from AEW

MJF is one of the biggest names in All Elite Wrestling. He has millions of fans across the globe and is often praised by veterans for his in-ring abilities and microphone skills.

New Champs in WWE! More RIGHT HERE

According to WCW legend Eric Bischoff, Friedman should stay away from the company as much as he can. On the 83 Weeks podcast, Bischoff said The Wolf of Wrestling's association with All Elite Wrestling could hurt his career.

"Now if I were MJF's agent or manager, I would tell him [to] stay on that movie set as long as you possibly can. Do not get near an AEW camera until you’re absolutely forced to by court order. Because the more he’s involved in what’s going on in AEW right now, the more his stock is going to go down." [H/T: ewrestlingnews]

Friedman wrestled his last match at All Out 2024, where he defeated Daniel Garcia.

#4 CM Punk regrets wrestling some AEW stars

CM Punk was signed to All Elite Wrestling from 2021 to 2023. Unfortunately, his run in the company ended on a sour note. He is currently working in WWE.

In a recent chat with Peter Rosenberg at ComplexCon, Punk seemingly buried his former employers by saying he wasted some matches on certain talents from All Elite Wrestling's roster.

"No. I feel like I wasted some matches on some people, for sure. That is what it is (...) some people understand the business, and some people don't. I think everybody here [WWE] understands the business," CM Punk said. [H/T: Sports Illustrated]

Punk has been away from the ring since his brutal Hell in a Cell match against Drew McIntyre at Bad Blood 2024.

#3 Eric Bischoff dislikes the fact that The Death Riders wear white

The Death Riders comprises Jon Moxley, Wheeler Yuta, Claudio Castagnoli, Marina Shafir, and PAC. Members of the heel faction are predominantly seen wearing white. Interestingly, Eric Bischoff is not a fan of their wardrobe choices and he accused the faction of hampering the pro wrestling business.

On the 83 Weeks podcast, Bischoff criticized the stable's presentation and called it "bad" for business.

"It is bad for the business. It's a bad representation of what the professional wrestling industry can be on television. It's horrible, there's nothing. I mean, from the concrete floor up in that arena [Wednesday] night, I didn't see anything that represented a professional production."

Moxley is set to face Orange Cassidy at Full Gear 2024. The World Title will be on the line at the November 23 event.

#2 Tony Schiavone wants Kings of the Black Throne to hold tag team gold

At Full Gear, Private Party will defend the AEW World Tag Team Championship against The Outrunners, Kings of the Black Throne, and The Acclaimed. The title match has the potential to steal the show. Given the talents involved, it is difficult to predict who will win this showdown.

Tony Schiavone wants Malakai Black and Brody King to win the coveted title at the pay-per-view. On What Happened When with Tony Schiavone, the veteran commentator said the following about the championship bout:

"I’d really like to see them win the World Tag Team Championship, but we’ll see. We’ll see what happens." [H/T: Fightful]

The Kings of the Black Throne have held championship gold outside All Elite Wrestling.

#1 Unfortunate update on Wardlow

Since there are only a few days left for Full Gear, fans are speculating whether former TNT Champion Wardlow will show up at the pay-per-view. Unfortunately, that may not be the case.

The AEW star sustained an injury earlier this year, and due to that, he is not going to return anytime soon. According to Fightful Select, the 36-year-old's exact comeback date remains unknown.
