We're also going to take a look at the final confirmed match card for the Worlds End PPV as well. Tony Khan has also broken his silence regarding a popular star's heel turn in the promotion. So, without any further ado let's dive into all of these stories.
#5) WWE Hall of Famers scheduled to appear for AEW
Tony Khan is set to bring in an iconic WWE Hall of Famer duo for a couple of shows. The legendary wrestling duo, Ricky Morton and Robert Gibson (Rock' n Roll Express) were inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame in 2017 by Jim Cornette.
The two icons have influenced the professional wrestling industry with their flamboyant style and were known for their feuds with the Midnight Express in the 80s-90s.
Tony Khan is now set to bring them in for Collision on January 4 and Dynamite on January 22nd. Dr. Chris Featherstone reported that this was done to locally promote each show in the cities of Charlotte and Knoxville.
The Rock n Roll' Express is most popularly known in these cities as well. It was further added that these appearances would not lead to an angle or storyline. The duo are only being brought in as special guests for the evening.
#4) Popular AEW Star reacts after CM Punk shows up in towel in WWE live event
CM Punk seems to be having quite a bit of fun as he showed up to a WWE live event in a surprising manner. The Cult of Personality would run out in a towel and shower cap to help Damian Priest fend off Dominik Mysterio and Ludwig Kaiser at Madison Square Garden on December 26.
Many fans were surprised to see Punk seemingly rushing out straight from the shower. Popular AEW star, Danhausen, who is close with Punk would proceed to post a story over on Instagram about the incident.
The Very Nice Very Evil star would post an image of Punk running in the towel from the WWE live event while certain parts of him were blurred making the incident even more funnier.
#3) Jon Moxley barged into the production room and permanently ended AEW Rampage
Jon Moxley has been growing increasingly unhappy with the state of All Elite Wrestling as of late and decided to take matters into his own hands. Moxley would proceed to close out this week's episode of Rampage once and for all.
The December 27 edition of Rampage had its last episode in the iconic Hammerstein Ballroom in New York. The show would end in a huge brawl with Moxley, The Death Riders, and all of their rivals fighting all around the arena.
With chaos being wreaked all over, Moxley and Marina Shafir would slip out of the arena into the backstage area. The two would then walk into the production room and put a permanent end to Rampage once and for all after the first episode aired three years ago on August 13, 2021.
#2) Tony Khan breaks silence on Ricochet's heel turn in AEW
Ricochet debuted in AEW looking to establish himself as the top star in the company. The Future of Flight has been putting on stellar matches and showcasing his special abilities in the ring. However, his demeanor seems to have changed.
Fans have also turned on him recently, with the former WWE star being met with boos and lashing out at them on social media. Tony Khan was questioned by Sportskeeda's very own Arunava Ghoshal about Richochet's sudden change of heart.
Khan would answer how they had foreseen the fans not cheering for the former WWE United States Champion and how Ricochet intentionally leaned into his darker side. He would also note that his success in the Gold League was part of the plan as well.
