Bryan Danielson vs Minoru Suzuki (AEW Rampage Buy-In main event continued...)
Bryan Danielson rolled back into the ring on AEW Rampage Buy In and it was Suzuki who was on top at this stage. We got dueling chants for Bryan and Suzuki as the Japanese star locked in a nasty looking hammerlock.
Bryan reached the ropes and the match headed out to ringside again as Danielson sent Suzuki head-first into the ringpost and followed it up with a flying knee strike off the apron.
Back in the ring, Suzuki asked Danielson to inflict more punishment on him. Bryan locked in the Cattle Mutilation which he transitioned into a pin attempt and got a nearfall.
Suzuki hit back with a boot in the corner followed by a trio of PKs. Danielson didn't stay down for long. Suzuki had a Fujiwara Armbar locked in but Bryan broke free and in turn tried to go for the Labelle Lock. He couldn't lock it in cleanly and Suzuki reached the ropes.
As "fight forever" chants broke out, Suzuki and the former WWE star started trading right hands. Both men ended up taking each other down after a series of back and forth strikes.
It was another back and forth battle of strikes after both men got back on their feet. Suzuki then locked in a sleeper before attempting the Gotch piledriver. Danielson blocked it and then hit his patented running knee strike to pick up the win.
Result: Bryan Danielson def. Minoru Suzuki
