Kenny Omega will defend his IMPACT World Championship against Christian Cage to kick off the debut episode of AEW Rampage.

It will be a first-time-ever clash between two of the most technically sound wrestlers of their generations. The forbidden door will be in full effect, but this time for the prestigious IMPACT Wrestling World Championship. Tony Khan's promotion is currently firing on all cylinders to grab eyeballs on the product.

Having two bonafide stars competing against each other for the title of another promotion would be a different vibe altogether.

Both men are also scheduled to face each other for the AEW World title at All Out. However, their aforementioned match could change the direction of plans moving forward.

If the former WWE superstar ends up dethroning The Cleaner, fans could even get to see a future title vs title bout between them. It remains to be seen how their storyline will unfold moving forward.

The main event of the first episode of AEW Rampage will see Dr. Britt Baker defend her AEW Women's Championship against Red Velvet. It will be historic for the entirety of AEW's women's division. Both women will have the opportunity to revolutionize a new chapter for every female wrestler.

Dr. Britt Baker and Red Velvet engaged in a massive brawl this week to build the hype. Given that Rampage will be held in Dr. Britt Baker's hometown, that means fans will be rooting for her during the match. However, Red Velvet will leave no stone unturned to dethrone the AEW's resident dentist.
