AEW Rampage Results: Huge title change, Big return after two years, Fuego del Sol is All Elite

Baker and Red Velvet locked up as soon as the bell rang. The AEW Women's Champion went for the Lockjaw early but couldn't hook it in. Red Velvet and Baker traded arm holds, followed by a wristlock takedown by the champion. The crowd was hot for this match.

Red Velvet rolled up the champion for a two-count before going after Baker's arm again. Velvet continued to work on the arm before Baker hit back with an elbow strike. A leg lariat from the challenger grounded the champion and she followed it up with a standing moonsault.

Following the break, Dr. Britt Baker went for the lockjaw but couldn't hook it in. Red Velvet ripped off Baker's glove. Rebel briefly distracted Velvet and the champion got a roll-up for a near fall. Red Velvet caught the champion with a superkick and headed to the top rope, connecting with a moonsault for a two-count.

Britt Baker replied with a Ushi Goroshi, only getting a near fall. She followed it up with a Curbstomp but it still wasn't enough to put Red Velvet away. Velvet tried to lock in a Lockjaw of her own but the champion reversed it. Baker used her left hand to lock in the Lockjaw, forcing Red Velvet to tap out on AEW Rampage.

Result: Dr. Britt Baker def. Red Velvet

Baker continued to punish Britt Baker after the match but Kris Statlander attacked her. Jamie Hayter made her return to AEW after almost two years to back up Dr. Britt Baker, who laid out Red Velvet.
