AEW Rampage Results: Major title change, Hook impresses again, Cody Rhodes makes history

Hook vs. Bear Bronson on AEW Rampage

The AEW fans in attendance chanted 'We want Hook' as Taz's son made his way to the ring for the second match of his All Elite Wrestling career. Ricky Starks and the rest of Team Taz were present in commentary.

Bear Bronson got taken down by Hook as he went for a single-leg Boston Crab. Hook clubbed him with punches in the corner, but Bronson overpowered him. The former fought out of the corner and locked in the Shoulder Lock, but Bear made it to the lower rope.

Bronson hit a shoulder breaker, but Hook stood up immediately to hit a huge lariat and hit a Northern Lights suplex and a side headlock suplex. He finished off the match with the Redrum submission for the win.

Leyla Hirsch and Kris Statlander square off on AEW Rampage

The two women shook hands before the match got underway, and Kris Statlander booped Leyla Hirsch to the latter's amusement. Both women flexed their muscles before Leyla took Kris down and delivered a double knee in the corner.

Statlander hit a power slam and hit a huge vertical suplex for a nearfall. The Galaxy's Favorite Alien locked in a headlock, but Hirsch fought back with a takedown of her own.

The Russian star trapped Statlander in an armbar, but the latter lifted up Hirsch and hung her up on the top rope in the corner. She hit a moonsault for a two-count, followed it up with a knee strike, and scored another nearfall.

Leyla slapped Kris, which angered the latter, as she delivered a Blue Thunder Bomb for a nearfall. Statlander tried to place Leyla in the corner again, but she fought out and delivered a German suplex.

Kris Statlander fought back with a Big Boot and hit a reverse body slam. She trapped Leyla Hirsch in a Spider Crab for the submission victory.
