The 26-year-old star executed moves like Liger Bomb and Brainbuster, but it was not enough to secure the pinfall win. The Aerial Assassin stunned the crowd by reversing a Brainbuster attempt into a Hurricanrana. Ultimately, Ospreay took Fletcher down with a Styles Clash to advance into the Finals of the Continental Classic.

Will Ospreay came into this match at less than a hundred percent after busting his head open earlier in the night. The two NJPW alumni traded elbow strikes for a bit, before Ospreay brought Kazuchika Okada down with a Hurricanrana.

The two stars soon found their way to the outside, where Okada nailed Ospreay with a couple of DDTs. The contest had a surprisingly slow pace, as Okada initially did not give any room to The Aerial Assassin to weave his magic. An impactful Vertical Suplex is what swung the momentum in the favor of The Commonwealth Kingpin.
