AEW WrestleDream 2024 had quite a memorable start. The Zero Hour began with a ROH World TV Championship match between Atlantis Jr. and Brian Cage, where the latter emerged victorious to become the new champion.
Meanwhile, Anna Jay continued her recent momentum at the Washington pay-per-view and scored a convincing victory over Harley Cameron.
The Acclaimed took down MxM Collection in a fun tag team match, which also witnessed appearances from Billy Gunn and Rico. The final contest of the Zero Hour saw The Conglomeration and The Outrunners defeat The Premier Athletes and The Dark Order in an eight-man tag team match.
The AEW WrestleDream main show began with a high-stakes encounter between Jay White and Hangman Adam Page. The Switchblade was the first man out, followed by The Anxious Millennial Cowboy.

AEW WrestleDream 2024 Results: Hangman Adam Page vs. Jay White
Hangman Adam Page unloaded a flurry of strikes on Jay White in the starting moments of the match. However, The Switchblade made a comeback by targeting the legs of The Cowboy. While The Switchblade relied on his speed and athleticism, Hangman looked to keep the action as slow as possible.
In the opening moments, White made several attempts to fight back, only to be slammed back onto the mat by his vicious opponent. An Exploder Suplex ultimately allowed Jay White to regain some control of the contest.
After trading chops and elbows for a while, The Switchblade took down the former AEW World Champion with a Flatliner and a Suplex. White trapped his opponent in the ring's corner and battered him with several chops. However, a Death Valley Driver on the apron helped Hangman regain control over the match.
The action soon spilled outside the ring, where Hangman powerbombed White on the Steel Steps. The Hanger soon took out his belt, hoping to damage his opponent to a great extent. Jay White, though, replied with a Shin Breaker, which looked absolutely brutal.
Back in the ring, The Catalyst applied a beautiful Uranage on the former AEW World Champion. Hangman somehow managed to hit a Dead Eye, which hurt his own knee to a great extent.
The former AEW World Champion attempted to hit The Buckshot Lariat with his damaged knee, which turned out to be a flawed decision. The Switchblade immediately reversed the deadly maneuver into a Blade Runner to pick up a convincing victory at AEW WrestleDream.

AEW WrestleDream 2024 Results: Mariah May (c) vs. Willow Nightingale for the AEW Women's World Championship
Willow Nightingale battered Mariah May with several chops in the opening moments. The Champion eventually came back into the contest and rained down blows on her opponent. A quick dropkick allowed The Glamour to keep Nightingale on the mat.
The Fighting Princess attempted her signature blows to the head, prompting Willow Nightingale to bite her ear off. The Babe with The Power delivered a vicious spinebuster, which was immediately followed by a German Suplex from Mariah May.
Nightingale went for a Top-Rope Moonsault, but the reigning Champion somehow rolled out of harm's way. The Glamour applied a beautiful May Day on her opponent, which surprisingly could not secure a three count.
After barely surviving a Corner Exploder Suplex, Mariah May performed a Knee Strike + Storm Zero combo on Willow Nightingale to retain her AEW Women's World Championship.

AEW WrestleDream 2024 Result: Jack Perry (c) vs. Katsuyori Shibata for the TNT Championship
Jack Perry did not allow Katsuyori Shibata to get any offense in the opening moments of the contest. The Wrestler endured great punishment before he eventually got the opportunity to annihilate Perry with his vicious chops.
The Scapegoat then unloaded with brutal kicks on Shibata, which seemingly had no effect on The Wrestler. The two stars found themselves outside the ring, where the challenger put down the champion with a Snap Suplex.
The Japanese star continued to dominate the champion when the action returned to the ring. Shibata nailed his opponent with a Death Valley Driver and a Ushigoroshi before eventually applying a Sleeper Hold.
Unfortunately, The Wrestler's shoulders were down during the submission attempt, which allowed Jack Perry to escape with the victory.

After the match, Daniel Garcia emerged to rescue a helpless Katsuyori Shibata from a post-match assault from Jack Perry. The Red Death was soon interrupted by a returning MJF, who combined with The Scapegoat to annihilate Garcia in the middle of the ring.
As The Devil looked further to destroy The Dragonslayer, he was driven away by Adam Cole, who finally made his much-awaited return to All Elite Wrestling.
AEW WrestleDream 2024: Will Ospreay (c) vs. Ricochet vs. Konosuke Takeshita for the AEW International Championship
Ricochet and Will Ospreay joined forces in the opening moments to target Takeshita. The two high-flyers then turned their attention towards each other before The Alpha interrupted their back-and-forth.
Takeshita sent the two stars outside the ring, where he planted Ricochet with a Snap DDT. The Japanese star pulled out a table, intending to put away The One and Only. However, Ricochet and Ospreay combined yet again to batter Takeshita with a couple of aerial moves.
The Future of the Flight displayed impressive athleticism in the squared circle before The Alpha rocked his jaw with a vicious elbow strike. The three stars went back and forth on the apron for a while before Konosuke Takeshita nailed Will Ospreay with a Death Valley Driver.
Takeshita did not get any time to celebrate, as a Top-Rope Meteora from Ricochet immediately took him down. The next few moments saw a one-on-one contest between The Aerial Assassin and The One and Only.
Ultimately, a beautiful Styles Clash helped Ospreay neutralize the former WWE United States Champion.
A few moments later, The Alpha returned to the ring to hit a Blue Thunder Bomb on Ricochet. Takeshita avoided the OsCutter for a while, before eventually falling victim to the lethal maneuver. Unfortunately, Ospreay couldn't go for a pinfall attempt, as he was immediately hit by a 450 Splash from Ricochet.
Konosuke Takeshita got one of the loudest reactions of the night when he planted both of his opponents with a German Suplex at the same time. A few moments later, The Alpha hit Ricochet with a Piledriver on the table placed outside the ring.
The final moments of the match saw the involvement of Don Callis, who barely saved Konosuke Takeshita from losing the match. The wicked manager was soon captured by The Aerial Assassin, who was ready to nail him with a Tiger Driver 91.
In a surprising turn of events, Ospreay was attacked by Kyle Fletcher, who shockingly hit his mentor with a Screwdriver. The Alpha quickly capitalized on the distraction to hit Will Ospreay with one final knee strike and pick up the victory.
Result: Konosuke Takeshita wins the AEW International Championship at AEW WrestleDream

After the match, Fletcher solidified his heel turn by hitting Ospreay with a Tiger Driver 91.
AEW WrestleDream 2024: Swerve Strickland's segment
Swerve Strickland talked about how it was unusual for him to stand without the AEW World Championship. The Killshot then talked about his physical health, stating that he finally got the medical clearance to compete.
Swerve was soon interrupted by MVP and Shelton Benjamin, who came out to talk about the future of the former AEW World Champion.
The Realest One acknowledged The Hurt Syndicate's efforts for the business and how they helped elevate the industry in several ways. However, The New Flavor outright refused to join forces with the heel faction, as he was unwilling to turn his back on Prince Nana.
Swerve's refusal to accept the membership of The Hurt Syndicate drew the ire of Shelton Benjamin, who told The Killshot he would cease to exist without them. The two individuals almost came to blows in the middle of the squared circle before the security intervened.
AEW WrestleDream 2024 Result: Hologram vs. The Beast Mortos: Best of 2-out-of-3 Falls
Hologram put on an impressive display of his aerial abilities in the starting moments of the match. A pop-up Samoan Drop was ultimately the move that allowed The Beast Mortos to regain control of the contest.
It didn't take Hologram too long to secure the first fall, as a Diving Crucifix Bomb helped him take down his gigantic opponent.
A Spinning Suicide Dive outside the ring from Mortos was enough to flatten his athletic opponent. The Beast Mortos soon sent Hologram into the ring, where he battered his opponent with a Headbutt and a Snap Suplex.
After a couple of Backbreakers and a Spinning Clothesline, the behemoth star managed to get a three count over his opponent. As soon as Hologram got back to his feet, The Minotaur of Wrestling nailed him with a brutal Clothesline.
The two stars traded blows on the apron for a while before Hologram took his opponent down with a Poisonrana. The young star performed a 450 Senton outside the ring onto Mortos to gain momentum.
The duo soon found themselves on the top rope, which gave The Beast Mortos the perfect opportunity to hit his rival with an Avalanche Press Slam. Ultimately, it was Hologram who emerged victorious after successfully planting Mortos with the UFO.

AEW WrestleDream 2024 Result: Brody King vs. Darby Allin
Darby Allin was the first man out, followed by an enraged Brody King. King inflicted great damage on the Invisible Man in the beginning of the match. The Big Bad attempted to crush his opponent under the weight of the Steel Steps outside the ring.
Ultimately, a few Suicide Dives and a Coffin Drop allowed Allin to silence his gigantic rival. King's vicious chops could not keep the daredevil star down for a long time.
Brody King proceeded to plant the young star with a couple of brutal Super German Suplexes. However, Allin soon took the ongoing violence to a whole another level.
The former TNT Champion delivered a Coffin Drop on King while the latter remained motionless on the Steel steps. The Invisible Man proceeded to hit yet another Coffin Drop on his gigantic opponent to finally get a pinfall victory over Brody King.

AEW WrestleDream 2024 Result: The Young Bucks vs. Private Party for the AEW World Tag Team Championships
The Young Bucks refused to defend their titles against Private Party and immediately walked out. The duo were eventually assaulted by Isiah Kassidy and Marq Quen, who brought the two brothers back into the ring.
Private Party immediately took control of the match once the bell rang. The duo applied several tandem moves to keep the champions down. However, the experience of the Bucks allowed them to isolate their opponents.
The AEW EVPs tried to keep the pace of the contest as slow as possible. Marq Quen suffered significant punishment at the hands of the champions before Isiah Kassidy finally managed to enter the equation. Zay applied a Springboard DDT on Matthew Jackson in the middle of the ring, which led to a two-count.
Isiah Kassidy singlehandedly dealt significant damage to The Young Bucks in this match. The action soon spilled outside the ring, where Nick Jackson planted Zay with a Canadian Destroyer. Back in the ring, Kassidy countered The Bucks' TK Driver into an unsuccessful pinfall attempt. Private Party executed a few beautiful tandem moves, which sadly couldn't lead to victory.
Ultimately, The Young Bucks nailed Isiah Kassidy with a TK Driver to retain their titles successfully.

AEW WrestleDream 2024 Result: Mark Briscoe (c) vs. Chris Jericho for the ROH World Championship
Mark Briscoe immediately unloaded on Chris Jericho to start the contest. The Sussex County Chicken quickly sent his opponent outside the ring, where he planted The Learning Tree with a Suplex and an Elbow Drop.
As Briscoe looked to strengthen his control over the match, he was blindsided by Big Bill. However, Orange Cassidy made sure that Bill did not get to influence the outcome of this contest.
The second half of the contest saw Chris Jericho demolish Mark Briscoe with his witty tactics. A top-rope Hurricanrana allowed The Learning Tree to inflict severe damage on Briscoe.
The Lionheart soon trapped the ROH World Champion in the Walls of Jericho, but the maneuver failed to get the job done for the veteran. Bryan Keith also tried to get involved, only to be taken out of the arena by Rocky Romero.
Despite hitting a mid-air Code Breaker, Chris Jericho still couldn't secure the three-count over the Sussex County Chicken. The first-ever AEW World Champion planted his opponent with a Jay Driller, a finisher that belonged to Mark's late brother, Jay Briscoe.
Mark Briscoe was agitated about Jericho using his brother's finisher and went on to punish The Learning Tree with severe blows. After delivering a picturesque Frog Splash, Briscoe performed his own version of Jay Driller on Chris Jericho to pick up a conclusive victory.

AEW WrestleDream 2024: Bryan Danielson (c) vs. Jon Moxley for the AEW World Championship
The two stars began brawling outside the ring even before the bell rang. It took a few moments for the match to officially begin.
Bryan Danielson came into this bout with an ultra-aggressive approach, as he immediately performed a series of lethal moves on Moxley. The Deathrider also did not stay silent, as he instantly planted his former stablemate with a Piledriver on the announcers' table.
The Purveyor of Violence constantly targeted Danielson's neck throughout this contest. Marina Shafir also emerged as a valuable ally to Jon Moxley throughout the course of the night.
The Ace of AEW tried to plant Bryan Danielson with a Piledriver on the exposed concrete, but The American Dragon was quick to counter it with a Back Body Drop. The Leader of the Yes Movement found some momentum once the action returned to the squared circle.
However, Danielson could not properly execute the Flying Headbutt, which allowed Moxley to hit a Curb Stomp on the reigning AEW World Champion.
At one point in the match, the two rivals began trading punches and strikes in the middle of the ring. The intriguing exchange received one of the loudest crowd reactions of the night.
Marina Shafir was soon ejected from the ringside after the referee caught her helping Jon Moxley. Soon after Shafir's departure, Moxley hit Danielson with a Deathrider on the exposed concrete outside the ring.
After hitting a Gotch-Style Piledriver in the ring, The Ace of All Elite Wrestling trapped The American Dragon in a Bull Dog Choke, which marked the end of Danielson's resistance.
Result: Jon Moxley defeats Bryan Danielson to become the new AEW World Champion at WrestleDream

After the match, The Deathrider's faction tried to inflict further damage on The American Dragon before they were driven away by Darby Allin and Wheeler Yuta.
However, Yuta showed his true colors very soon and blindsided Allin with a running knee. The former ROH Pure Champion then attempted to choke out Danielson with a plastic bag, which prompted several babyfaces to make the save.
