Earlier today, it was reported that Bobby Lashley's contract with WWE was set to expire soon, and there has been no news on possibly re-signing with the Stamford-based company. Could he let his contract expire and move to AEW for a possible reunion?

This would be with Lio Rush, someone he was all too familiar with. In 2018, the two began a partnership, with Rush managing the former WWE Champion. The All Mighty would end up amassing several great wins and a title run as Intercontinental Champion during their alliance.

The former NXT Cruiserweight Champion returned to AEW almost two months ago and has been making recent appearances for the promotion and ROH. He was previously affiliated with New Japan Pro-Wrestling before this. Should Bobby Lashley depart from WWE altogether, the two could possibly reunite in AEW.

With the Tony Khan-led promotion seemingly taking an interest in keeping Lio Rush there and making creative plans for him, an alliance with the debuting Lashley could work. As Rush has also been talking to Top Flight as of late, they could form a partnership altogether.

Bobby Lashley recently hinted at a new goal in his career

Amidst his hiatus from the promotion, Bobby Lashley recently posted a tease about his next target, which was championship gold.

The All Mighty has not been seen in WWE since May, when he faced Santos Escobar at a live show. His last TV appearance was back in April when he faced off against both Escobar and LA Knight in a Triple Threat match for a chance to become the number-one contender for the world title.

Almost two weeks ago, he posted a pic of himself on Instagram during his run as the WWE Champion, seemingly hinting at going after this once more.

"Domination is for champions, competition is for everyone else. #TitleChasing #gettingready," Lashley posted.

With his contract reportedly set to expire, and should he not choose to re-sign with the promotion, this could be a hint instead of him pursuing world titles from several other major promotions. At this point, it remains to be seen what his next move could be.
