Following his match at AEW WrestleDream, some have discovered that Bryan Danielson has a unique achievement attached to some of his final matches. This includes some he's had with members of a top faction, including Roman Reigns.
This year marked Danielson's last year as a full-time wrestler. The last few months have showcased the closing stages of his full-time career, and he was even able to capture the world title. He claimed that he would end his full-time run officially once he dropped the title, and last night, he did so to Jon Moxley.
This makes Moxley Bryan Danielson's final opponent in his full-time wrestling career. It is interesting to note that during the end of his time in WWE, his last few matches ended up being with former members of The Shield as well. The American Dragon faced Seth Rollins in his last match on Monday Night RAW, and he clashed with Roman Reigns in his last bout on Friday Night SmackDown.

All three members of The Shield have held a world championship within the year
The Shield during their time together in WWE were a fearsome unit, and as a trio, they were oftentimes unstoppable. But their individual careers are also as decorated. Each member has had a chance to become a world champion this year alone.
Roman Reigns' more than three-year reign came to a close in April, but he ended the year 2023 as the world champion. The same can be said with Seth Rollins as well as he held the World Heavyweight Championship early into the year. Jon Moxley, on the other hand, has held both the IWGP World Heavyweight Title and AEW World Championship this year alone.
Bryan Danielson wanted to lose to Jon Moxley
It was previously reported that Bryan Danielson had no plans of becoming world champion until he eventually gave in to Tony Khan and his plans.
However, a recent report has mentioned that he knew that he wanted to drop the title to Moxley, and that was the reason for all that happened at WrestleDream to end up that way. It seems he had the last say, and his wishes were honored.
Jon Moxley continues to hold AEW World Title record
Jon Moxley becoming a four-time AEW World Champion has just extended his record, as no one has come close to the number of reigns he has had. MJF still holds the record for the longest single reign, but none of the members of the roster have matched Moxley's record.
Adding his time with WWE, Mox is now a five-time world champion, and he has tied with his former comrade, Seth Rollins, for world title reigns. Only Roman Reigns stands above them as he is the only member of The Shield with the most world title runs with 6.
Now that Bryan Danielson's reign is over, it is time for Moxley to take his spot as the king and the man on top of the entire AEW roster. It remains to be seen who will be willing to step up to him next.
