Former WWE World Heavyweight Champion Bryan Danielson recently announced that he will be participating in the 2024 Owen Hart Foundation Tournament, where the winner will receive a shot at the AEW World Champion at All In 2024. While Danielson seems focused on capturing the coveted title for the first time in his career, one of his long-time rivals could spoil his plans.
The man in question is none other than Nigel McGuinness. He is currently a color commentator on Collision and has also worked for WWE in the past. While McGuinness is thriving in his role, he seemingly still wants to perform inside the ring. To ensure he achieves his goal, the veteran can cost Danielson his opportunity to challenge for the AEW World Title at All In 2024.
McGuinness has consistently expressed his hate for Bryan Danielson

On this week's Collision, he also expressed his displeasure towards Danielson being in the 2024 Owen Hart Foundation Tournament.
McGuinness said Bryan Danielson's dream of becoming the AEW World Champion in London, England, was his nightmare. As a result, he could very well become an obstruction for The American Dragon. The former champion could prevent Danielson from advancing in the tournament, setting up a potential one-on-one match between the two.
The American Dragon could wrestle Nigel McGuinness at AEW All In
The American Dragon recently discussed the prospect of facing Nigel McGuinness at AEW All In 2024. Danielson said he would love to wrestle his long-time rival, who retired from in-ring competition over twelve years ago.
For a match with Nigel McGuinness at All In, Danielson must lose in the Owen Hart Foundation Tournament. Hence, the 48-year-old could stop the former WWE Champion from securing the cup, which might set up a much-anticipated grudge match between them.
Bryan Danielson shares a storied history with Nigel McGuinness
Bryan Danielson and Nigel McGuinness share a long history, as they were embroiled in a heated feud in Ring of Honor. The two locked horns in more than 20 matches, mostly in singles competition.
To reignite the rivalry, McGuinness could prevent The American Dragon from achieving his dream of becoming AEW World Champion and script the final chapter of their decades-long feud. As of now, this is just speculation, and there is no confirmation on whether they will square off inside the ring.
