For the first time in his career, Cody Rhodes has remained a babyface for such a long time. However, his heel runs in WWE are still memorable, except for his American Nightmare gimmick.
His 'Dashing', 'Shattered', and even 'Legacy' runs were far more memorable and better received. Cody has since become a better athlete and improved on the mic, so a heel run could be even more memorable now.

2. Turning Heel Puts Malakai Over
Cody Rhodes' gimmick change after many losses and mind games from AEW star Malakai Black is the perfect way to usher the former into a strong heel run.
Rhodes' in-ring aggression will translate well into his gimmick. This could position Black as a formidable opponent who can turn a good man into something evil. Their feud is still ongoing, so only time will tell if we end up seeing a heel turn.
