The Lucha Brothers might be on their way to WWE and that calls for exciting times for the tag team division. The tag team division in WWE is stacked and their potential arrival will only bode well for the roster.
Penta El Zero Miedo and Rey Fenix have been regular fixtures in AEW but that has not been the case for a few months ever since news broke that their contracts would be expiring soon. Fightful Select recently reported that Penta’s AEW contract could be up as early as next week.
That could mean that he could end up in the Stamford-based promotion very soon, closely followed by his brother Rey Fenix at a later date.
In this article, we will take a look at five feuds that The Lucha Brothers can have if they sign with WWE.
#5. American Made
American Made is a heel stable in WWE and they are headed by the effervescent Chad Gable. Brutus Creed and Julius Creed are clearly very talented wrestlers and are still looking for their big major break in the company.
If the Lucha Brothers do indeed make their move to WWE, then a feud with American Made would be perfect for them as it would be led by Chad Gable and would give the AEW stars time to settle down.
#4. The Bloodline
Tama Tonga and Tonga Loa are a part of the new Bloodline and they are at a different level. They are currently feuding with the OG Bloodline and will be taking them on at Survivor Series: WarGames.
Once that is done, they could be free, and in case the Lucha Bros come over to the company in time, then going after the Tongans would be a major statement on their part. It would also send out a message to the rest of the roster.
#3. DIY
DIY’s reunion has made all the fans happy as they are such an enticing tag team. They are immensely talented and it is only right that they should be involved in matches that help them keep their status as one of the top tag teams in the company.
A potential feud with the Lucha Bros should be an enticing proposition for them given how much talent all the stars have. With the technical ability of DIY and the high-flying nature of the AEW stars, it would make for great viewing.
#4. Motor City Machine Guns
The Motor City Machine Guns shocked the entire world when they beat Tama Tonga and Tonga Loa in October to win the WWE Tag Team Title. Since then, they have been at the top of their game.
Given that they had a brief stint in AEW, a feud with the Lucha Brothers would make perfect sense for both teams. It would also ensure that the brothers challenge for the titles as soon as they get to the company.
#5. LWO vs Lucha Brothers in WWE
The Latino World Order is one of a kind faction in WWE and if they are to be involved in a feud with the Lucha Bros, it would make for interesting viewing.
Like the Lucha Bros, the LWO also has two wrestlers from Mexico - Cruz Del Toro and Dragon Lee. To add to this, they would be led by none other than Rey Mysterio. Feuding with them would be a great initiation for the AEW stars into WWE.
