A top AEW star could vacate his championship next week on Grand Slam 2024. The star being discussed is Wheeler Yuta, who is one-third of the AEW World Trios Champions. He, PAC, and Claudio Castagnoli won the titles at All In London in a Four-Way London Ladder match.

The 27-year-old star has been going through a tough time since All Out pay-per-view. At the event, Jon Moxley, Claudio, and PAC betrayed Bryan Danielson, officially breaking The Blackpool Combat Club. In the recent edition of Dynamite, the newly formed faction called Yuta out for not contacting them. It was also announced that the titles will be defended in an open challenge at Grand Slam.

Wheeler Yuta claimed he would defend his championship alongside the two despite being upset about them hurting The American Dragon. Later, on the flagship show, Private Party accepted the challenge and was ambushed by Jon Moxley and the company.

When the former ROH Pure Champion appears on Dynamite next week, he could be forced to relinquish the trios title as he is seemingly not part of the new group anymore. He might be replaced by Jon Moxley, who is the potential leader of the faction.

AEW star Jon Moxley says Wheeler Yuta is free to leave

The Lunatic Fringe has been building his own kingdom for a couple of weeks. He and his stable recently asked Wheeler Yuta to be present next week at Grand Slam as they have to defend the AEW World Trios Championships.

While speaking on last week's Dynamite, Jon Moxley told the 27-year-old star that he isn't trapped with them and can leave.

"I know it's a lot to handle, Wheeler, but I believe you have the strength inside you to do the right thing. It's your choice. You're free to leave, you're not trapped. You do whatever you want, it's your choice. But you have a personal responsibility to the greater good," Moxley said.

It will be interesting to see how things go when the trio defends the titles next week.
