Jon Moxley (fka Dean Ambrose) has transformed himself into a different star in AEW when compared to his time in WWE. Moxley has transformed himself into a multi-time world champion and is currently leading one of the most over factions in AEW - The Death Riders.

The current AEW World Champion is still the unhinged one from his time in WWE with the only difference now being a mean streak that he now has. That could be attributed to the rough hand he was dealt with by Seth Rollins during the breakup of the Shield.

That had a profound impact on him and it took a lot of years for Jon Moxley to come to terms with what had happened. However, The Shield did get back together in 2017 and things seemed to go well.

Rollins and Ambrose went on to become the tag team champions the night Roman Reigns announced he had leukemia. However, that was also the night when Ambrose attacked Rollins to break up The Shield again.

Jon Moxley ended up forgiving Seth Rollins

Things changed when Roman Reigns came back after defeating leukemia. The Shield got back a few times and it was great to see.

Things started to change when it became clear that Dean Ambrose was seemingly not going to sign a contract extension with WWE. Rollins and Reigns made a public plea to Moxley to stay back and sign a contract extension. The Visionary was also seen shedding tears in what was an emotional moment given that Roman had come back triumphantly and also because it was clear that Moxley was going to leave.

There it was made clear at that exact time that Jon Moxley had forgiven Seth Rollins for all that he had done. The two of them have a storied history that could make any fan invested in anything they do.

Their paths have since separated and both have had varying levels of success. Rollins has gone on to become the WWE World Heavyweight Champion while Moxley is the current AEW World Champion.

No matter what happens in the future with either of them, their history from their days in The Shield will be with them and define their careers for years to come.
