A former AEW star could return to WWE to help Liv Morgan defeat Rhea Ripley at SummerSlam. The star being discussed is Lana. Liv and Rhea are set to battle for the Women's World Championship at SummerSlam.

CJ Perry also known as Lana, accompanied Rusev as his manager in the Stamford-based promotion from 2013 to 2016. Things took an interesting turn in 2019 when Lana abandoned her real-life husband Rusev and started a romantic storyline with Bobby Lashley. Later, Liv Morgan also played an integral role in the story, as she was revealed as Perry's lover.

Morgan and Perry are also close friends in real life as the duo are regularly seen together on social media. CJ Perry joined AEW in September 2023 but recently revealed she is no longer with the promotion. She was featured on TV for just four months.

The 39-year-old could surprise everyone by showing up at SummerSlam by interfering in the Women's World Championship contest and helping her longtime friend to retain the title. Dominik recently insulted Liv on RAW and the latter is currently on her own, meaning Liv could need an ally at the event.

Lana says she would love to revisit her storyline with Liv Morgan

In 2019, Morgan interrupted Bobby Lashley and Lana's onscreen wedding and professed her love for the latter.

While speaking with Sportskeeda, the Ravishing Russian revealed she would like to revisit the story as it was very compelling.

"I can see the story picking up any time, any day. You know? Like I think it's a very, very compelling story and I would love to revisit it. So, that's what I was told. That we're going to revisit it at some point. So I'm looking forward to revisiting it at some point," she said.

Only time will tell if Lana signs with WWE in the future.
