A former AEW World Champion is rumored to return soon, and he can be the wild card participant in the ongoing Owen Hart Foundation Tournament. Many top names are aiming to win the prestigious cup, and a certain cowboy may have similar plans.

The former AEW World Champion in question is "Hangman" Adam Page. He has not been seen on TV since the 2024 Revolution pay-per-view, where he failed to win the World Title in a three-way match involving Swerve Strickland and Samoa Joe. Fans have been eagerly awaiting his potential return for over three months now. It may indeed happen as part of the Owen Hart Foundation Tournament.

A recent report suggested that The Anxious Millennial Cowboy was finally gearing up for his comeback. Interestingly, the Owen Hart Foundation tournament is currently underway, and seven participants have been confirmed. However, one spot remains for a wild card entrant.

Adam Page could very well be revealed as the wild card participant in the tournament. It makes sense, as the competition's winner would challenge the AEW World Champion at All In 2024. Page is a former World Champion who shares a storied history with the current titleholder, Swerve Strickland.

The 32-year-old could take on WWE Hall of Famer Jeff Jarrett in the tournament. Double J's opponent is still undetermined, and the company could give the spot to Page. The Anxious Millennial Cowboy could return as soon as this Wednesday on Dynamite to begin his pursuit of the Owen Hart Cup.

Potential update on whether former AEW World Champion Adam Page is injured

It was previously reported that former AEW World Champion 'Hangman' Adam Page was out of action due to personal reasons. Meanwhile, some fans were speculating whether he was dealing with an injury.

During a Q&A session, Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful Select reported that Page was not injured.

"Well, he’s not injured or anything. It’s a matter of deciding whenever he’s coming back. It could really be whenever the best I know,” Sapp said.

Adam Page's presence in the Tony Khan-led promotion is definitely missed by many. Only time will tell when the 32-year-old returns to action.
