A feud against CM Punk

The controversial CM Punk left AEW to return to WWE last year after his backstage altercation with Jack Perry at All In last year. Bryan Danielson has been vocal about Punk's wrongdoings backstage in AEW, after the latter's firing.

If Danielson decided to return to the Stamford-based promotion, the real-life drama could be turned into a huge retirement storyline for WrestleMania 41. The story can make for some great television content like we have seen currently with the Drew McIntyre and Punk feud.

Challenging Cody Rhodes for the Undisputed WWE Championship

Cody Rhodes and Bryan Danielson are no strangers to each other. Both men were a part of AEW at the same time however, they never faced off in a match in the Jacksonville-based promotion.

The American Nightmare is the current Undisputed WWE Champion. Danielson could head back to WWE and challenge Rhodes for the World Title at WrestleMania 41. The veteran could play the underdog in the storyline and lead the Yes Movement into WrestleMania next year.

Payback against Roman Reigns

Roman Reigns successfully defeated Bryan Danielson in a Career vs. Championship match on an episode of SmackDown in 2021. After the match, Bryan left WWE to go on to shock the world by signing with All Elite Wrestling.

The American Dragon's AEW contract is set to run out soon and a return to WWE to reignite his heated rivalry against Reigns and maybe even exacting revenge on The Tribal Chief could be a great storyline.
