This week's AEW Dynamite could see a former WWE Champion do something shocking that might lead to Tony Khan suspending him from the company for the foreseeable future. The champ in question is Jon Moxley.
Moxley is a former WWE Superstar and wrestled in the Stamford-based promotion under the ring name Dean Ambrose. He left the company in April 2019 to join Tony Khan's roster the same year in May.
Mox is currently involved in a feud with Bryan Danielson, his former stablemate from Blackpool Combat Club. At the All Out 2024 PPV, The Purveyor of Violence turned heel and attacked The American Dragon, kicking off their rivalry in the process. He even used a plastic bag to choke former Daniel Bryan. The two new rivals are set to face each other for the AEW World Championship at WrestleDream 2024 on Saturday, October 12.
The plastic bag spot was very vicious and criticized by many people. Bryan Danielson retaliated on Dynamite: Grand Slam 2024 when he choked the former WWE Champion with a necktie.

On the upcoming edition of AEW's Flagship show Dynamite (which will be the show's fifth Anniversary), the fans could see Jon Moxley brutally attacking the champion once again to establish his superiority as the heel. This could force Tony Khan to suspend Mox until WrestleDream 2024 to ensure that The American Dragon is healthy enough to defend his title.
WWE's Cora Jade imitates AEW's Jon Moxley during a recent NXT show
The recent edition of WWE's developmental show NXT saw Roxanne Perez defend her NXT Women's Championship against Giulia. As the match was about to end, a hooded figure attacked the latter while the former distracted the referee.
The unknown assailant turned out to be a returning Cora Jade who delivered an Underhook DDT to the challenger outside the ring. The DDT resembled Moxley's finisher The Death Rider/Paradigm Shift. The outside interference helped the champion to pick up the win and retain her belt.
