AEW held its sixth annual Full Gear event at the Prudential Center in Newark, New Jersey, on November 23, 2024. It was a successful show.
Tony Khan gave fans many shocking yet interesting segments. Some subtle hints about the show's fallout were also given.
Here are five things AEW seemingly teased for the near future:
#5. Christian Cage could execute his contract anytime on Jon Moxley
The main event of Full Gear saw a chaotic end. Jon Moxley retained his AEW World Championship against Orange Cassidy, thanks to Wheeler Yuta's interference. Later, fans saw Christian Cage hitting the champion with a Killswitch. Cage tried to execute his contract, but unfortunately, Jay White ruined his plan.
Despite all the chaos, The Patriarch chose to execute his contract at Full Gear. This indicated that he wouldn't hold back from taking advantage of any opportunity that might present itself in the future. Hence, we could soon see the former WWE World Champion execute his contract on the Death Rider.
#4. Jon Moxley and Darby Allin could reignite their feud
In the closing stages of the main event segment, fans saw Darby Allin crash his car into the Death Riders' vehicle. Moxley and his allies stole another vehicle to retreat.
Now that The Purveyor of Violence has dealt with Orange Cassidy, he might face another hurdle in the form of Allin, who is hellbent on taking out Moxley and Co. The Full Gear fallout episode of Dynamite may see Darby Allin and the reigning world champion reignite their feud.
#3. Bobby Lashley could have a dominant run in AEW
Bobby Lashley had his in-ring debut for the Jacksonville-based promotion at Full Gear this past Saturday. He locked horns with former AEW World Champion Swerve Strickland.
Despite being up against such a strong contender, the former WWE Champion dominated most of the match. He took an early hold of the bout and overpowered his opponent throughout the encounter.
Though Swerve managed to wrestle back control at some points, he ultimately succumbed to The Destroyer's brute power. The All Mighty manhandling The New Flavor might be an indication that The Hurt Syndicate member would have a dominant run in the promotion.
#2. The Acclaimed might break up soon
The Acclaimed faction members failed to capture the AEW World Tag Team Championship at Full Gear. Anthony Bowens and Max Caster were out of sync from the beginning, and their dynamic was off throughout the match.
This could ultimately lead to their split, with the two stars possibly embarking on their singles careers.
#1. Toni Storm could return soon
The crowd at Prudential Center saw Mina Shirakawa and Mariah May break up this past Saturday. In a shocking turn of events, The Glamour swung a champagne bottle at Mina but was unsuccessful. Mina ducked and eventually speared the AEW Women's Champion off the stage and through a table.
A few months ago, May betrayed Toni Storm after winning the Women's Owen Hart Foundation Tournament. The Glamour later defeated the Timeless star at All In. The former WWE Superstar has since been absent from Tony Khan's company.
The ongoing angle between May and Shirakawa could lead to Toni Storm's return.
