At AEW Worlds End on December 28, MJF will once more be in action as he'll now face one of his bitter rivals. Could a former WWE Superstar suddenly come to his aid, and help him score the win at the pay-per-view?
In a few weeks time, Adam Cole is set to take on Friedman in a grudge match. This comes almost a year after Cole revealed he was The Devil. This time, the roles are reversed, with The Wolf of Wrestling being the heel in this feud like he always is. This will also be their first one-on-one match since last year's edition of All In, where they were in the main event.
After a series of shortcomings, The Panama City Playboy finally has a chance to get his hands on MJF. Among the bumps in the road was his close friend Roderick Strong being taken out by Max at Full Gear a few weeks ago, as he attempted to break his hand. Strong has not been seen since then.
The Messiah of the Backbreaker could finally grow tired of remaining loyal to Adam Cole, seeing as how he was slow to come to his aid at Full Gear, which resulted in him getting injured and taken out. Although he may not be friends with Friedman, he could provide an unlikely assist to him as a statement to Cole. MJF would enjoy this, as this would be a payback for him.

Another one of Adam Cole's friends is getting involved in his fight with MJF
Despite not formally being with the Undisputed Kingdom, Kyle O'Reilly has suddenly gotten involved in their affairs as he wanted to give his take on the current situation with the former AEW World Champion.
O'Reilly urged Adam Cole a few weeks ago to directly go after MJF and not get anyone else involved. Seeing as Roderick Strong ended up getting caught in the crossfire, Kyle has made it his mission to go after Friedman himself so that more people won't get hurt, seeing as Cole couldn't do it.
However, he couldn't get the job done, and it will be Cole himself going on to face MJF.
It remains to be seen if Worlds End is finally where these two long-time rivals settle things with each other. With his friends already getting hurt in the last few weeks, Adam Cole will look to take The Wolf of Wrestling down himself.
