Former WWE star Swerve Strickland might show up at AEW Dynamite: Grand Slam and confront Hangman Page. The latter is set to take on Jeff Jarrett in a Lumberjack Strap match at the event.
The event will take place this week on Wednesday, September 25, 2024, at Arthur Ashe Stadium in Queens, New York City.
The Realest Star had a brutal cage match against his mortal enemy, Hangman Page, at the 2024 All Out. He was rumored to take a long hiatus following the event.
However, the Wrestling Observer Newsletter recently released a report suggesting that the former AEW World Champion might return sooner than expected. It was also mentioned that he is likely to participate in the WrestleDream PPV.

"Swerve Strickland will be back in AEW sooner than originally expected, likely working the WrestleDream Tacoma Dome show," the report said.
Therefore, the fans might see Strickland appear at AEW Dynamite: Grand Slam and confront Hangman Page. He never got retribution for his archnemesis burning down his childhood house. Maybe the two mortal enemies could even continue their feud for a longer time given how engaging and popular their rivalry was among the fans.
Swerve Strickland's former stablemate in WWE comments on having a match against him
During his time in WWE, Swerve Strickland was a part of a stable called Hit Row. Other members were Top Dolla (AJ Francis), B-Fab, and Ashante "Thee" Adonis.
AJ Francis recently had an interview with Straight Talk Wrestling, where he was asked to comment on a potential match against Swerve Strickland.
The TNA star stated that he vs. Swerve would make a huge amount of money but the bout is unlikely to ever take place. The reason he gave for that was that he loves his time in TNA and AEW is no longer in partnership with the Nashville-based company.
