Christopher Daniels was unceremoniously fired from AEW by the Young Bucks last night on Dynamite. The Bucks are currently acting as the de facto leaders in Tony Khan's absence.
Daniels had a run-in with Matthew and Nicholas Jackson last week on the same show. The former TNA star lashed out at the EVPs and called them out. He even challenged them to a match. Now, that match took place last night, and he and Matt Sydal lost to the Bucks. The Jackson Brothers then fired Daniels.
That left many fans wondering if Christopher Daniels was actually fired from AEW. The answer is no; he is not fired in reality. This is part of a storyline that has been brewing for a few weeks now.
Ever since the Bucks turned heel, they suspended Hangman Adam Page for attacking two referees at the Revolution pay-per-view. They also kicked out Kenny Omega from The Elite and attacked Tony Khan.
Daniels’ firing is also part of the same storyline, and it will be interesting to see if he will be brought back when Tony Khan finally makes his return.
Christopher Daniels sends out a message after firing
After being fired by the Young Bucks on Dynamite, Christopher Daniels did not get to speak in the ring to address the fans.
Instead, he posted on Twitter immediately after the show, sending a message to the fans, apologizing for letting them down.
“I’m sorry I let you all down.”
The former TNA star has done a great job being in character, and it will be great to see what he does when he finally makes his comeback.
