Jon Moxley is the leader of The Death Riders, which consists of Wheeler Yuta, Claudio Castagnoli, PAC, and Marina Shafir. He may soon recruit WWE legend Adam Copeland to his heel stable in a massive twist.
The WWE Hall of Famer is currently out of action because he suffered a broken tibia in a Barbed Wire Steel Cage match against Malakai Black at AEW Double or Nothing 2024. The Rated-R Superstar has been recuperating at his home since then.
According to a recent report from Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful, Copeland is expected to make a comeback soon. He was cleared for in-ring training a few weeks ago. The former TNT Champion is expected to return on the January 1, 2025, edition of Dynamite, which will take place in his hometown of Asheville, North Carolina.
Adam Copeland and FTR are very close since they reside in the same city. They joined forces to help Hurricane Helene victims earlier this year. Therefore, fans expect Copeland to return and join the duo in their ongoing rivalry against The Death Riders. However, in a shocking turn of events, the former Edge could ally with Jon Moxley against Dax Harwood and Cash Wheeler.
The Rated-R Superstar gained popularity because of his villainous character in WWE during the Ruthless Aggression Era. Hence, he could be the perfect fit for the Jon Moxley-led Death Riders. Moreover, he has worked with multiple heel groups, including The Brood and The Ministry of Darkness, in the past.
Jon Moxley receives warning from FTR
FTR was recently the target of Jon Moxley's wrath when they tried to save Orange Cassidy from a backstage assault by The Death Riders. Later, fans saw The Purveyor of Violence teach Harwood and Wheeler a lesson by seemingly kidnapping them and beating them behind closed doors.
On last week's edition of Dynamite: Holiday Bash, FTR addressed the attack from their hometown of Asheville, North Carolina. Harwood warned The One True King and his stablemates to watch out for their backs as they would come for them on Dynamite on January 1. The duo also said they would bring some help along with them.
