Kenny Omega is one of the most recognizable names in professional wrestling today. He has won championships in numerous promotions across the world. Some of his biggest accomplishments are winning the AEW World Championship, the IMPACT Wrestling World Championship, the IWGP Heavyweight Title, and more.
Unfortunately, The Best Bout Machine is currently sidelined due to a health issue. Upon his return, he could immediately target a major champion. In All Elite Wrestling, Omega has won the World, the World Tag Team, and the World Trios championships. However, he has yet to hold the TNT Title. Hence, The Cleaner could go after current titleholder Jack Perry once he is cleared to wrestle.
New Champs in WWE! More RIGHT HERE
The AEW TNT Title has a prestigious lineage. In the past, names such as Darby Allin, Brodie Lee, Cody Rhodes, Adam Copeland, and more have held it. When Kenny Omega returns, his first match could be against Perry. The Cleaner could instantly become the TNT Champion by defeating The Scapegoat.
Omega dethroning Perry would make sense because the former was previously a member of The Elite. Earlier this year, he was kicked out of the faction in a humiliating fashion by its current members. The Best Bout Machine could avenge the betrayal by defeating the current TNT Champion, who is part of the villainous group.
Kenny Omega revealed one of his favorite matches in NJPW
Recently, Kenny Omega revealed that one of his favorite matches came against Toru Yano, a comedy act in NJPW. He praised the 46-year-old and added that their showdown would always be special to him.
"My second selection. This might catch you guys off guard. It's my match against Toru Yano and people are gonna think, 'Kenny, you must've had more difficult opponents in your career. Why aren't you choosing them?' I will counter that argument with there is no more intellectual of a wrestler than Toru Yano," Omega said in an interview with NJPW World.
AEW fans are eagerly waiting for Kenny Omega's in-ring return. It will be interesting to see when he will show up on the company's programming.
